So what do you think of my Lager recipe?

Recipe: Mead Lane Lager
Style: Premium American Lager
TYPE: All Grain

Recipe Specifications

Boil Time: 90 Minutes
Estimated OG: 1.052 SG
Estimated Color: 3.9 SRM
Estimated IBU: 24.0 IBU

Ingredients:

5.0 lbs Pilsner (2 Row) Ger (2.0 SRM) 70.00 %
3.0 lbs Vienna Malt (3.0 SRM) 15.00 %
8.0 oz Corn, Flaked (1.3 SRM) 7.50 %
8.0 oz White Wheat Malt (2.4 SRM) 5.00 %
4.0 oz Carafoam (2.0 SRM) 2.50 %
0.25 oz Liberty [4.10 %] (90 min) (Mash) 1.1 IBU
0.50 oz Liberty [4.10 %] (90 min) (FWH) 8.3 IBU
0.38 oz Sterling [7.8 %] (60 min) 11.8 IBU
0.50 oz Sterling [8.7 %] (5 min) 2.8 IBU
1 Pkgs Bohemian Lager (Wyeast Labs #2124)

Looks OK although a little busy IMO. The numbers make it more like a Euro rather than American. Should be pretty tasty.

Looks pretty tasty, though I also am kind of curious as to the grist. You're adding lots of body and flavor with the Vienna, then trying to take it away with the maize.

Interesting comments Bob. My feeling was to add the maize to bump up the OG without adding even more maltiness. Kinda to appease my BMC buddies.

I think that, if this beer will appeal to strict BMC drinkers at all, it'll do fine without the miniscule ABV bump. But it's your beer!
