Default American grown Magnum as late boil hop?

I just got a # of Magnum leaf. I'll probably use it mainly as an extremely efficient bittering hop - 20% AA! - but I'm thinking of an all Magnum ale. What can I expect aroma and flavor wise?

I experimented with a first wort hopped and finished all magnum ale and it was awesome! My inspiration was after using the magnums (from the same #) I noticed a serious strawberry smell after I pitched them for bittering. Mine were 14% or around there.

I ended up with a serious fresh strawberry nose on my beer. It was nice, light, and delicate. I would use them as bittering for the first batch, and if you like the smell, then make another batch with them FWH and KO.

Sounds interesting. I think I'm just going to chance it. Thanks.

I have never used them as a late hop but always thought they smelled nice. Searching around though I never found much mention of anyone using it as a finisher.

Sierra Nevada uses magnum as some of the finishing hops in their Torpedo IPA.
