I have an ale I brewed last summer that turned out great I was able to find the recipe for the AG version again but what I did to brew the extract verison i cannot access because the old computer was killed in an accident in the house that I caused while not sober. If you could give me a direction it would be great.

Thanks
Steve

8½ lbs American Pale Malt
1 lb Munich Malt
6 oz Crystal 60°L
1 oz Sterling pellets 6% for 60 minutes
1 oz Vanguard pellets 4.4% for 10 minutes
1 oz Vanguard pellets 4.4% for 1 minute
1 oz Sterling pellets 6% dry hopped for 2 weeks in the secondary (or in the keg)
Wyeast 2450 Denny's Favorite Ale yeast
OG: 1.054, FG: 1.014, IBU: 34, SRM: 7, ABV: 5.2%

If you just substitute the pale malt for around 5.5 lbs. of light DME or 7.5 lbs of light LME, you should end up with almost exactly the same numbers.

Just realized that you probably shouldn't steep that munich malt, so you'll have to replace that with extract too. Someone with more experience will have to double check my method. I know that Munich LME is 50% munich and 50% pale malt, so would make sense to double the percentage of munich malt to get the percentage of munich extract?

That would mean using 7.5 lbs. of light LME and 2 lbs. of munich LME. Then you can just steep the 6 oz. of crystal. Like I said, someone should probably confirm this.
