Advise on White Labs Yeast
Hello All,

I brew typically English style bitters, pale ales and IPA's.

OG range from 35 to 70

Plenty of hop bitterness and aroma employed.

ALL of the beer gets bottled.

Any suggestions for White Labs yeast - looking at WLP 002 or WLP 005 in the listings

Really need it to be a good fermenter (obvious) but more so to stick to the bottom of the bottle when pouring.

And if not being greedy a good cropper for other brews!

I really like Burton Ale myself. English Ale and Dry English Ale are also really nice.

I think either would be a good choice, but check the attenuation ranges. 002 will leave more sweetness and i believe it is a very good floculator. I don't make many English styles (couple in the works) but 002 is the only one I use.

I've only done one bitter with White Labs yeast, but love it... WLP023. LOTS of fruity character. White Labs states its flocculation is medium, but with proper pouring, mine holds to the bottom of the bottle pretty well.

I swear by 002, the Burton is excellent as well.

002 is good, I've used in in an English Pale Ale and an ESB with food results. But my go to is the 007. I use it for the majority of my ales.
