Well, both carboys are already full of krauesen. . .in fact, the lower gravity beer invaded my airlock (filled with vodka--no worries ), so I had to fit a blow off tube. For not making a starter on either one of the yeasts, both took off like wildfire!

Just thought I'd give a little follow up.

Just tasted the higher gravity ale (1.070) out of the secondary. . . Nice and hoppy (amarillo predominates), and already nearly 7 percent ABV. I'm going to dry hop with Amarillo for this one, and dry hop the other with Cascades.

I haven't tasted the other, although it smells pretty danged good.

I'm in the process of moving, and will likely brew with this system next week. Any suggestions on a good summer brew to tackle?? I have a lagering fridge now, and lagers should be no problem. Recipes welcome!!
