I have it posted as an ESB, but it sorta fits both catagories, I tend to enter it in comps as a brown base style because it is on the dark range for an ESB, but the IBU is on the mark for an ESB.

Thanks! This looks very interesting and is something I will have to try - and soon! I realy like the complexity that oak and bourbon can add to a beer (if not overdone).

I thought it was a requirement also, but maybe I am thinking of a different competition. Maybe for future competitions the recipe needs to be submitted along with the beer so that if it wins the organizers can post it (if the original creator does not).
