Default Is it worth keeping

I brewed an IPA about 5 weeks ago, and 3 weeks ago I added 2 oz of hops to the secondary for dry hopping. A day or so after adding the dry hopping hops I went back down to the basement to see the bucket lid had popped open. I immediately closed it hoping all would be good. I opened the bucket the other day and there were no obvious signs of an infection but a rush of hoppy air came out of the bucket as I opened it. There was an almost astringent smell along with the hoppy smell and now I'm not sure if it's worth keeping or not. Any ideas?

I'd keep it. Wait until it is ready to drink, then taste it. If it is foul, then dump it. But don't jump to conclusions. You'll know when you have a bad beer.

I'd be inclined to keep it. After 2 weeks in the primary, your worries of infection should be minimal. You've already done most of the work. If it tastes OK in the secondary, I'd go a head and bottle.

Well I kegged the beer tonight and it smelled good, nice and hoppy, and tasted good. The only thing is I noticed a slight medicinal plastic like odor under the hops. My wife said she couldn't smell it so maybe it's just me.
