Default what are the best sanitizing agents

Right now I am using a one-step powder with a local homebrew shop logo on it...I don't really like it because it does't dissolve well at all.

What are good, cheap sanitizing agents to use?

what are some other best practice methods for sanitation?

Answers to common beginner questions like this, can usually be found in the STICKY section of each part of the forum.

What Sanitisers and Cleaners are used?

You're good to want to dump One Step, technically it's not a real sanitizer according to the FDA- If you want to learn the truth about "one-crap" and read a lot of great info about the two most effective sanitizers we use, iodophor and starsan, including the links to podcasts read the thread below;

Sanitizer Question.
