Default Weldless Fitting Washer Option

The weldless washer and nut set-up for a kettle has some drawbacks. Mainly that it is a poor fit and the lack of surface area makes a flimsy connection. This is especially bad on thin wall aluminum pots like my 42 and 30 quart Bayou’s. Here is a concave / convex washer option to fix the problem. What do you think? Marketable?

Note: I used a half coupling on the inside of the new set-up to keep it closer to the wall of the pot for more effective whirl pooling.

O-Rings Installed

Note: The washer that goes inside the pot has an o-ring on both sides.

Did you machine that? Looks like a definite improvement in design! I've been thinking about putting a weldless fitting on my 30 QT for use as an HLT now that I'm on the hunt for a 40 or 60QT.
