Default Valley grain mill offer

Hey all,
I spoke to a guy on Craigslist that was selling some carboys for a good price. He just happen to have a valley grain mill and a nice brew kettle he was willing to part with as well. He told me to make him an offer. I think I can come up with an offer on the brew kettle, but I know nothing about the valley grain mill.

He said it holds 3lbs of grains. And it's a valley grain mill. That's about it.

How much should I offer him for it?

I have a Valley Mill. This has a white nylon hopper, correct? I've had it and used it for years, probably 10 or more. Still works great. It has parallel adjustment (meaning the gap between the rollers is uniform along the length of the rollers). I think I paid $100 10 years ago. I would pay up to $60 if it's in good shape.

The guy is sending me some pictures tonight. So I'll know more later. He said he hasn't brewed in years and it's time to let go. So I can't wait to pick this up. Thanks!

Make sure you test BOTH rollers. Sometimes the nylon bushings tighten up from age and/or heat.
