I figure I'll use mine 'till there isn't alot of oakyness left then use it as a Brett barrel. I know Brett eats oak so was thinking I might get a little extra oakyness out of it that way? Sound reasonable?
this is really helpful info- much thanks to you all. i opened my barrel, smelled good, looked good. i'm still waiting on my stout to finish, so in with a bottle of bourbon! no leaks, and really looking forward to using the thing!
