Default Used 14.5 gal Fermenator

I have a line on a Blichman 14.5 gal Fermenator for 400$. Slightly used with standard hardware not the tri clam version. Wondering if this is a good deal or if I really want one of these, then I should buy new. Just happened to have this fall in my lap.
Cheers Gabe

I can't really say, as I've never gone conical shopping. What about looking on morebeer or AHS or northernbrewer to see how much their conicals go for?

$569 is what I saw at Austin Homebrew 2 weeks ago when I was in the store and I heard rumours that the prices are likely to go up.

IMHO, don't get hung up on the tri-clamps. If you look closely at the design the tri-clamps are on the out-flow side of the valves which means you still have to worry about all the parts of the 3-piece valve being clean and sanitary.
