Default Type of pump?
Hello, I did a batch today, and used my IC heat exchanger and grabbed a pump from my aquarium supply in order to circulate some ice water I put in a bucket. I grabbed a fairly hefty pump, rated at about 700 gph, I think the max head was around 7 feet.

Anyway, this pump barely was able to push water through my copper coils. I have 25 feet of 1/2 in pipe. It was coming out in a very slow dribble.

So I was curious what pumps you have all used successfully pumping the cold water through your heat exchangers. Thanks.

What type of specs on the march pumps? gph and rated head and such?

Here.... the 809 is what most ppl use.
809 Pumps

Mine runs my HERMS... 25' of 1/2" copper coil and it pumps very quickly.
