is there a way to recap twist open bottles? I mean the big breweries are using twist offs so why can't the home brewer? do I need a special capper? maybe special caps? Someone has to know the answer......it's just not me.....

Twist off bottles are so much easier to get or at least cheaper.

When I got back into brewing, I used twist off caps. I wasn't looking forward to the bottling part again so my LHBS had the liter (quart) brown PET bottles.

They are amazingly simple to use. Clean and sanitize the bottles. You can buy the twist off caps and they're cheap AND reusable. Sanitize the caps. Fill the bottles and screw the caps on really tight. Done!

I bottled one batch and quickly moved on to kegging. So long and thanks for the memories!
