Default thermometers

I bought this indoor/outdoor air thermometer it slipped on counter and cracked a little, but appeared to be taking accurate readings. I also have a liquid thermometer, will this accurately take air readings? I hope not, because i put that one side by side with other thermometer and they are taking different readings for the worse. If anyone knows anything about this please respond.

Thanks George

I would trust the liquid thermometer more than a bimetal one.
As for the difference in readings... Confusious (sp) might have said

well air thermometer said it was 40 in fridge, and that seems about right, should put liquid thermometer in fridge and see what that says
