Default Streaks/Marks on Auto-siphon

This has to be a pretty common thing b/c its happened with two different Auto-siphons. After I clean it with PBW or Oxyclean, it develops these streaks all over it. They look like scratches but thats not possible, given that all I did was clean it. Anyone know what that is? Any problems with it(sanitation)?

It's fine. Mine have those streaks all over. I still replace them once a year, but no problems with infections yet.

Nothing to worry about...your brew is only in contact with the syphon for about 5 mins anyway.

Just make sure you rinse/clean it right after using and it'll last a long time.
