Default Star-san: o-ring, stainless...
Hi,

I just got 3 used pin lock kegs, I want to clean them. I read about sanitizing and many people seems to use Star-san.

Is there any known problems about using this stuff if it's in contact with O-ring ? Can it be a problem for stainless steel ?

No problems at all. But to clean them you want to use something like PBW, then sanitize with Starsan, two different processes. both are ok to use on stainless and o-rings.

And you;ll want to get new o-rings anyhow.

I'll replace the o-rings for sure and try to find the cleaner and sanitizer in a local store.

Callback79, I'm also located in Quebec City and was wondering where you found Star San as my local brew shop is not carrying this product. Thanks

No, unfortunately they were closed during Holidays (and I can't wait to brew....)! But I will surely get there when time permits!
