Default Stand fryer / burner

Hi,

I have a stand fryer, 72 000 BTU. Last week was the first time I use it in 5 years. I have not been to bring around 8 gal of water in over 2 hours.

I ignited it this morning but, the flame was nearly invisible but there was heat coming from the burner. I don't remember if there was an audible "ishhhhh" coming from the burner 5 years ago, but this morning there was no sound.

Can it be low propane level ? (I tried two 20# tank, they are not empty because I use them on my BBQ, but propane level might be a bit low)

or does it sounds like a faulty burner ?

Thank you.
