Yeah, it seems idiot proof...when the metal on the opener touches the metal bottle cap...viola, talking opener...I love the Simpsons...but I will not be aquiring this device.  |

Actually, I took mine apart - the "saying" was dying as a result of the batteries going dead, and the metal is in 2 pieces and will play whenever the 2 pieces are connected/shorted. So, it will even work if you use your finger. Metal contact is not necessary.

I don't know who you were addressing the comment to so I'll just say, no, I mostly bottle.
I have a bunch of 5 liter kegs that I use occasionally, but I mostly bottle (0,5l - that's 1/2 liters).
