Default Regulator trouble - Victor sr 260 a

I have a Victor sr 260 a regulator that leaks gas from the gauges threads. No matter what I do to try to stop it it still leaks. I have used pipe dope, teflon tape and even silicon glue but to no avail! What can I do at this point? Thanks

Look closely, with a magnifying glass if needed, and see if you have a crack emanating from the thread hole........."NPT" threads can crack the bore they are screwed into if it is not substantial for the fitting size.

If ya' didn't know, "NPT" stands for "National Pipe Tapered", or something like that.

The "tapered" part is what will cause the crack if they are over torqued.
