Default Recommend me a good brewing thermometer

Hi -

I don't have the ability to have a kettle mounted thermometer like I see in some of your pics... I'm wondering if you guys/gals can recommend me a decent hand held thermometer that I can use to measure water temps for mashing/steeping? Or possibly something I could mount on the lip of my kettle?

Thanks

I have good luck with the ProAccurate Digital Thermometer. It's available from a number or sources (NORTHERN BREWER: Thermometers). I am using the Northern Brewer description as an example.

From target.com (not available in stores), digital, waterproof, -40 to 450° F, and only $14.99.

I use that as well, and it works great.
