Default recomend a good burner

I bought a cheap turkey fryer from walmart but it is a piece of junk and doesn't work well enough for me

I'm looking to do 5-10 gallon batches in a 42 quart SS pot

I'm doing extract so I only need a single burner

This would be my choice. Has the power you need, a cast ring type burner and it's controllable from a very low flame to high output. Heavy duty stand with 16" x 16" grate. Very good value IMO at $49.97 I have one:

I'm a big fan of the SQ-14 burner as well.

Might want to get a 60qt pot if you're going 10g full boil batches. Either way the SQ14 will serve you well. You could go with the Banjo or Hurricane, but I don't know if it's worth the extra coin.
