Pyrex 4L aspirator bottle

Looking for info from anyone familiar with one of these. I found one at a junk shop, and want to use it for making starters. I'd like to boil the starter wort directly in it, and assume that like with a Pyrex Erlenmeyer flask it can take the direct heat, but if not, could you let me know? Also, does anyone have any ideas about how to plug the hose barb on the bottom of the bottle that could handle the heat?

I thought I knew what you were talking about until to got to the hose barb on the bottom part. Can you post a pic?

It's very similar to the one at http://www.amazon.com/Pyrex-Aspirator-Bottle-Tubulation-Capacity/dp/B0017Y902W, but certainly wasn't the price they list here (seriously? $200+ bucks?)

And if anyone else wanted one of these, I could see if the shop had more, and we could work out a deal of some kind; I paid $15.
