Default Pressure Cooker - Pressure Gauge

I need to replace a pressure gauge on my pressure cooker, and took off the bad one to find out that it's a standard sized fitting. I also had an extra gauge that runs up to 50-60 PSI that i bought for my regulator setup I never used that fits perfect.

Any reason I can't use that with my old pressure cooker?

The pressure cooker gauges should have an internal water trap to keep the hot steam away from the coiled tube used to move the pointer. Steam tends to damage the brass tube in regular gauges, so the industry practice is to use a water trap between gauge and steam. Watch for "Internal Siphon" on the gauge description when looking for a replacement.

Also, you are abviously looking for 15psi, so the range of that gauge may not do much more than tell you it's on.
