That looks like the same kettle as the Mega Pots or Update International. It's a good kettle.
To answer your question though; no. The triple bottom is not needed for brewing. Those are great heavy duty kettles but they were designed for the restaurant industry for making thick sauces, soups, etc which have a high tenancy to scorch. Beer isn't very viscous and with stirring and natural convection scorching really isn't an issue.
They are a little thicker but also weigh about 50% more and are more expensive.
