Default PolarWare brewing kettles

http://www.katom.com/002-361BP.html#ReviewHeader 40 quart and seems to have the same specs as this on Midwest Supplies. http://www.midwestsupplies.com/polarware-stainless-steel-brewing-pot-with-spigot-10-gallon.html

Is it acceptable to use the cheaper one even though it's a stockpot? Forgive my noob ways.

Yes, they call it a stockpot, but that just means its a big pot.

I like Polarware - I believe they are a great value and I own two of them.

It took me 5 weeks to get my order from Katom. They don't appear to actually stock most of what's on their site. Things listed as quick ship they may actually have. Other stuff I can only guess they have to get enough orders to fill a pallet and chip from China. I've got stuff from Hong Kong twice as fast.
