Default plastic fermenter question

This may be a stoopid n00b question, but has anyone ever considered something like this for a fermenter? If the plastic is all right to use, it would be fairly simple to fit it with an airlock...

And this is the small one. They go right up to 55 gallons! That's a lot of apfelwein...

I thought the ones I found were interesting because for 10 bucks more they'll pre-install a bulkhead fitting at the bottom.
