other than the plastic end on the faucet is there any difference? outside of price, it doesn't seem logical to get the plastic version does it?

They are both forward sealing. I think the one with the plastic tip is meant for wine? Could be wrong. In any case, the all stainless will look better.

+1 I believe the plastic is intended for cider/wine. Either will work (and forward sealing), but stainless won't scratch as easy if you ever decide to use a brush to do a good cleaning. Plus, it just looks so d@amn good
