Default PBW vs Bar Keepers Friend
Anyone ever used Bar Keepers Friend to wash their stuff? The only homebrew store in Houston is downtown, so it would be far more convenient if I could just run to the local grocery store and get some of the stuff which my mother swears is the same thing as PBW. Not that I don't trust her, but I don't think she really knows what PBW is... anyone know?

Bar Keepers Friend is more a scratchless substitute for scouring powder, not really a sanitizer though.

PBW is not really a sanitizer either. People use PBW to clean their equipement, but they still sanitize afterwards.

Thanks for the correction. I haven't used PBW and had misconception of it being a sanitizer.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get some TSP it does a great job....
