OK, so I'm getting ready to use my new grain mill (Barley Crusher) for the first time. Also, the first time I've ever used any grain mill.

The mill came preset with a gap of .039.
Should I use that gap or change it to something else?

Also, what should I be using to measure the gap?

I went through about 2 pounds of grain getting my crush to what I wanted. It was too fine for my liking, so I turned both dials to about the 1 o'clock position. I'm a happy camper now.

If you want to measure the gap you should be able to pick up some feeler gauges at Sears or just about any Auto Parts store.
