That's really cool, man!

Good timing too because I have been planning something similar and I have to say it was a little scary to see your workbench has almost the same design to my own! I got the plans off the web but the basic setup is just about the same so it would be easy for me to do a similar thing for my chamber. Check it...

Look familiar? I didn't add the drawers underneath or the swing-top addition but the basic design is like yours! You can sorta see our deep-freeze on the left side of the shot...I was planning to move that down and build the chamber where it is now. So it would be a mirror-image of yours.

Thanks for posting...mind if I use some of your design?

Looks like my chamber is not insulated so well or is just too big. My garage gets to be well over 90 and it is struggling to get to 65 Ambient in the box. It gets to temp, but won't hold longer than a few minutes. The fridge unit is cycling almost constantly. I have it doubled up with two layers of 3/4 foam, and calked the seems and corners. I used foam weather stripping on the door for a seal. I do have a fan in front of the cooling plate now, too. Attachment 223806Attachment 223807Attachment 223808

It won't hold 2* ambient for ten minutes.

Did you also out insulation under the floor? It's hard to the from the photo. On my two chambers I've just incorporated the original fridge as a orr of the construction by just removing the door. Mine have cooling circulating in the side walls , too. Not just the cooling plate/freezer.
Also mine are in a garage brewery that can get hot during Summer (GA). No problems w/ temp control. Attachment 223819Attachment 223820
