Default Mounting a beer tap in drain pipe,...

Hi,

I was thinking of mounting three taps in a copper drainpipe, something like this:

Kobber - Tagrender - Tagrender og tag | BilligVVS.dk

But,... the smallest construction that I have seen is a tap with a 3" shank and 90 degree elbow. Is there something smaller than this, that would fit inside a narrow space ?

Thank you,
walther

If I understand correctly, I think you need something like this.
Elbow Nipple Shanks

Yes, short elbow shanks are whats used in most beer towers.

That sounds like a nice idea...a large copper pipe tower, i like it. Nice looking stainless table w/ sink! Nice brickwork in the garage, nothing like that around here, where are ya man?

I wanted to use a 3'' copper pipe for my tower but I thought it might sweat more than chrome or ss. Suppose you could insulate the inside

when I made mine I used a 4 inch drain pipe (PVC) and covered it with copper flashing. Worked great and no sweating

Thank you for the replies.

I was thinking of maybe insulating by inserting a cardboard tube, and then some expanding foam,...
