Default Mini-Batches for sampling, 64oz gatorade bottle?

I want to make some small batches of different things that might not turn out well or I don't want 50 beers of. Is it moronic to use a 64oz gatorade bottle or other juice drink just once? Obviously don't want to bother cleaning it after, but would it be so awful to do this? I have stoppers that fit the openings and such. What are your thoughts? Are there other cheap/free alternatives? I thought about a wine bottle, but that'd be too little - though I guess the big ones would work. Thanks for advice.

so long as it had a #1 or #2 recycle marking marking i say GO for it
Hell we use plastics buckets, same difference.
Just clean the snot out of them first. some have more nooks and crannies than others.

I use milk jugs. I keep a couple of caps that I've drilled out to accept an air lock. I use a new jug every time.
