love temp controller probe adjustment

How do you adjust the probe on a love temp controller?

the adjustment is +/- 10degrees

If my probe is reading over 3-4 degrees, do I adjust it up or down?

my probe says 65, but it is actually 68, what do I do?

If your probe reads 65° F and the temp should read 68° F set the offset P1 to +3 .

Thanks Claudius, I did set it to -3, which should be correct given your explanation, I was confused on which way to go since the controller instruction sheet is vague about it.
