Default loose connection in thermo probe.

I have a cheap taylor digital thermometer that has worked great until now. It seems to have a loose connection in the probe, if I jiggle the wire coming out of the long stainless probe it will read for a few seconds then stop again.
Im just wondering if anyone has experience/advice for fixing this, or should I just toss it?

this is the model I have Amazon.com: Taylor Digital Oven Thermometer/Timer: Home & Garden

You might possibly be able to crimp the probe down slightly at the top to hold the wire in better. If that doesn't fix it, time to buy a new thermometer.
