I saw a post a few days back that showed a electric heating element in an encased copper housing. They had a drawing of it also (build from scratch) I've been searching like crazy but can't find it. Ring a bell anyone???

Sounds like you're after a RIMS system. RIMS=Recirculation Infusion Mash System, search on that and I'm sure that you'll find plenty of threads..
