It does look slightly less dangerous now though. Did you take a grinder to it BM?

I made mine at the weekend, and I'm giving it its first run-out tonight.

Thanks again to Lil' Sparky and the other hopsock pioneers. This thread makes hop-bags look so last century

Excellent idea! Let me know what you think of the hop utilzation.

I think it works great and am getting great utilization with mine. I love the cheap paint strainers at Lowe's. For a buck fiddy, you can clean it or toss it. I know BM would make one last for at least 50 brew sessions (two months worth).

I just built this device this weekend to help me along with Yoopers recipe http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f69/dogfish-head-60-minute-clone-ag-extract-25709/ This hopsack worked like a charm. It allowed me to throw the hops in for the continous 60 minute hopping.

I didnt even use anything to attach the hop bag like a dowel or threaded rod I just drilled two holes and used SS wire . I can adjust the bag up or down into the wort.

I see a ripped bag in your future BM

Brewing in it's the easy part, cleaning it without losing an arm is hard.
