Default Kettle with a bad weld

I just received a stainless steel kettle that I bought on Ebay. It was apparently purchased from Northern Brewers. It's a 30 quart with spout, false bottom and thermometer.

The bottom of the kettle is welded to the cylindrical portion. The front of the kettle obviously took a hit at some point and the weld at the spout was damaged. It looks like someone did a repair and it is watertight. But the weld on the inside near the spout shows some signs of corrosion.

Should I be concerned?

From what I've read on here, take a Scotchbrite pad and make a paste of Bar Keeper's Friend. Scrub the corrosion off of the inside weld and rinse it off. Then let it set a couple of days before you use it. I did thid on a couple of my keggles and it worked well. Luck - Dwain
