Not to jack your thread, but...

I'll be making a chiller as well this week. I have the option of either suspending it or letting it sink to the bottom. If I suspend it, I can either buy another lid for the keg kettle that will hold it from the top, or I can weld in two more stainless bungs on the side where I can have the chiller semipermanently installed. It might be harder to clean this way, but it would definitely be more secure.

What is the best configuration for a chiller?
