Default How tall is a 6.5 gal carboy with airlock?

Hey guys....just a quick question:

how tall is a 6.5 gal carboy with airlock? I'm planning my dorm fridge lager chamber and I need to know how tall to make it.

thanks

This site lists the height and diameter of kegs and carboys.

http://www.ebrew.com/fermenters/glass_fermenters.htm#CAR-6.5

Height = 21" Diameter = 13"
Height with AIRLOCK attached = 27.25"

YMMV

1 more question:

should I then build it to be 2.5ft tall or 3ft tall?

It seems that the 3-piece airlocks are a little smaller than the bubble kind.

I can fit my 6 gal betterbottle and 3-piece airlock in my dorm fridge but not with the bubble kind.

What kind of fridge?

It's an old school montgomary ward fridge....it's an 18inch cube with only 15inches inside hight and width and only goes back 9 (useable) inches...

I'm planning on taking the door off and building a box that it sticks into.....

like this (changed plan from http://homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=31099 ) except the fridge will be on the ground and not on a stool....just seems easier
