Default Help using False bottom in MLT 1st time

Hello all,

Just made a false bottom based off a post. Does anyone have any pointers on what i should do to prep for brew day using it? Do i need to recalculate things? I read i need to increase my sparge amount by the deadspace volume.

Any advice welcomed.

Any pics would be appreciated.

You will definitely want to put a few gallons of water in the MLT, drain it completely, measure the amount that remains, and add that to your volume calculations.

I got the idea from a HBT post on $5 false botttom. I found a 13 inch aluminum pizza pan for 5 bucks at home goods.
