I have been working on a home made grain mill (two 1.5 inch knurled rollers) and I don't know how much gap I should put between the rollers.
I have seen settings between .035 and .075 I am planing on fixed rollers.
Seems to me that Noonan recommends ~.035" in New Lager Brewing. Granted it's for a Corona-type mill, but I guess the principle is the same.
Mine is fixed at 0.045" and gives great results wit 2 row barley malts.
