Default FYI: Glass carboy prices are about to double!!!

We just got the word. The Carboy manufacturer in Mexico stopped production so the Italian Carboys are the only ones left. The glass carboys will soon be around $40-$50 each retail. Stock up now if you like glass carboys.

Yes, but AHS.com does not carry them on their website... maybe now he will?

BBs are having trouble meeting production right now, aren't they?

Yet another reason AHS is amazing.

I was just about to post my glass carboys on CL (I'm going all plastic). Maybe I'll wait until prices on new ones skyrocket, then see what I can get for them...

I can not think of any reason why anyone would use a glass carboy now. $50 for a carboy compared to another device that is half the price, lighter, safer and achieves the same goal? The decision is obvious.
