How much heat do you guys lose with that cooler after an hour?
I was losing like 11 degrees over the course of a mash--I finally broke down and went with the orange rubbermaid.

i didint have a good thermometer but it stayed above 150 for the hour. I also put a folded fleece blanket on top just to be safe seemed to work well. I got a digital thermometer for this friday so i will be able to kep track better of exact temps.

i read it some where here on the boards that you should plass brass fittings etc in a solution of vingear and hydrogen proxoxide i guess it removes the lead from the brass?? not sure why they said to do it with the zinc fittings i guess to remove the zinc coating which im sure is not good for you. orginally i was going to use the zinc washers inside till i decided to stop being cheap and just buy the SS washers.

My Home Depot Rubbermaid loses 1 degree in 90 minutes if I preheat it.
How much does your orange one lose?
