Fermentation Chamber

Over the weekend I started working on a fermentation chamber. Today my roommate brought home a mini refrigerator.

What I was thinking about doing is taking the freezer door off then covering the whole with the same material I built the chamber with and run a pipe with a fan to push cold air in the chamber.
Is that the best thing I could do or does anybody else have any suggestions. I am trying not to destroy the refrigerator because my roommate is already bitching that I will mee it up.
