Hi all...

Just gearing up to start brewing and purchased a bunch of equipent from a guy on craigslist...got lots of good stuff at a great price! Included in this was a 10 liter EDME Brewcraft Barrel. I assume from the setup, this is to carbonate the beer without priming and bottling.

Question is...does this actually work worth a darn? I'm highly skeptical. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I can't say I've heard of it, and I don't think many people have. I think the brits use those style of fermenters for making their own cask conditioned ale. You could probably make a batch of apfelwein in it rather easily.

Thanks...there's not a lot of info out there on them and it does seem to be a Brit thing from what I've found. I'm just going to skip it and stick to bottling.
