Default Dumb Manifold Mistake - Reversible?

Hello friends,

I just made my copper manifold but accidentally started making a few slits on the top of it. I realized the mistake and immediately stopped. Since everything is flat and square except the copper piece that connects to the ball--valve, would it be possible to re-heat that piece so the soldering melts and somehow move it so it faces the other direction? It would only be moving one piece that's connected to two pipes on each side.

1st photo: the entire manifold
2nd photo: the piece I want to rotate about 40 degrees.

I don't see why that wouldn't work ... The trick will be heating both joints evenly. Post back with your results. Good luck.

Sure you can do it. Just heat the back side of the tee. The solder will become fluid again.

Ah, my favorite FST album. I guess I'm not the only old fart that remembers them...

Cheers!

I saw the comment "Thank you for the help ladies/gents!" and I was reminded of an old record.
Firesign Theater was an old comedy group back in the 60'-70s that did comedy records that sounded like radio plays.
One of the albums is named "Don't crush that dwarf, hand me the pliers"
One of the characters (Mudhead - a high school student) makes the comment about Bottles, Mudhead's crazy, hopped-up girlfriend who is obviously well endowed.

Firesign's recordings had a lot of innuendos regarding drugs, sex and alcohol. They did a video spoof on the old movie Reefer Madness

There ends today's important history lesson...

And yes, my mind operates on a strange tangent...

Haha no it's not a strange tangent, it's just that I'm very lost when it comes to pop culture :P
