Default Drilling hole for weldless sight glass

This is the brew pot that I just got:

Heavy Duty Brew Kettle - With Ball Valve (104 Quart/26 Gallon) | MoreBeer

This is the weldless sight glass that I got with it:

Basically I need to know where I should drill the hole and any advice on drilling the hole(i.e. what type of drill bit you recommend I should use). Thanks!

IMO drill at same height as the ball valve, but I don't know the height of the site gauge. You will want it to reach near the top of the pot.
Use a 1/2 hole saw bit for metal and drill slowly, and use some oil if needed. I drilled though a Keggle without having to use oil but I have heard others recommend it.
