Just picked up 3lbs of generic oxy cleaner for a buck.

I didn't buy any, but they also had tulip and pilsner glasses for a buck a piece. It's worth swinging by your local dollar store

yes, we have lots of threads of folks sharing their dollar store scores on here. It's a great place, beside what you mentioned, oxy and glasses, you can get a lot of kitchen type of gadgets ridiculously cheap as well. For example when I was starting out with extracts I got my STAINLESS STEEL 5 gallon pot for stovetop batches for 10 dollars. I still use it for small batch brewing.
