Default Digital probe thermometer

Has anyone ever used a digital probe thermometer through a hole drilled in the pot with a grommet installed?

Hmm, I found the post but I think I ditched the pictures because they're not showing up in the threads. Anyway, the probe will seal nicely in a 1/4" compression fitting where you replace the ferrule with a little stack of small O-rings (found in Lowes).

You mean something like this? Love 'em! Mine has the T with a sight glass as well. I posted a modification for sealing them. I didn't like the washer idea, which is how the fitting came.

Thanks. This is exactly what I want. How do you like it?

Now I'll wait for someone to shoot this idea down.

They're great. I have a 3-tier stand and it was a pain trying to monitor the temps before I installed them, especially in the HLT. Also, since they have alarms, I just set the temp that I'm shooting for and they let me know when I'm there - nice.
